Dr. Wajid Rashid has done his M.phil in Environmental Sciences from University of Peshawar, Pakistan and after registering for Ph.D. from School of Environment, Beijing Normal University, Beijing (China), he completed his doctoral research on Human-wildlife conflict in Pamir region of northern Pakistan.
He is a member of the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP), which is worldwide network to enhance the science, policy and practice of ecosystem services for conservation and sustainable development. He is also a member Snow Leopard Network (SLN) that is a worldwide organization dedicated to facilitating the exchange of information and insights between individuals around the world for the purpose of snow leopard conservation. He has published more than 30 research papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include wide areas of conservation, and natural resources management with a special interest in wildlife management related research, biological conservation, and sustainable development in the Asian region. He is an emerging scientist and currently running different projects in northern Pakistan. He is working in Department of Environmental and Conservation Sciences, University of Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan) since last 10 years.
