Pinar Pamukcu-Albers (Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture) has 14 years experience in the field of watershed management, landscape ecology, and GIS based modelling, mapping and advanced spatial analysis at local, national and international levels.
Her specialist areas of knowledge are hydrological and water quality data collection, verification, evaluation and assessment; hydro-ecology based approaches and watershed management; hydrologic risk assessment and management; hydrological responses to land use change and climate change; optimization and data analysis of soil, groundwater and surface water load; GIS based modelling and mapping; hydrological and flood modelling; ecosystem services assessment and mapping (water, soil, and carbon stocks) and urban resilience through blue-green infrastructure. In addition, she is an expert, nominated for the UNFCCC roster of experts, on the technical review of GHG Inventory (LULUCF), biennial reports and national communications, and on the technical analysis of biennial update reports.
