He has keen interests in applying geospatial tools for solving real world problems and assisting decision makers. He was working in Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) prior to joining UD. In the past, he has worked closely with more than 20 central and state government organizations in India. He received his Bachelor in Physical Sciences with specialization in Remote Sensing from Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST). His research interest includes agriculture and disaster management using advanced geospatial tools such as SAR/UAV remote sensing, Machine learning algorithms and extensive field surveys. His research is focused on to find how nature and humans induced phenomena are affecting the small farm holders in India. What are the implications of changing climatic conditions on Global Food security and agriculture sustainability.
