I am an applied economist with an interest in land use cover change and deforestation particularly in tropical regions. In 2015 I was awarded a ERC Consolidator Grant looking at indigenous people rights, land governance and deforestation in the Argentinean Dry Chaco. Since October 2017 I joined the CDE at the University of Bern, where I hold a post of Assistant Professor and ERC Grantee. Previously I worked as Associate Professor at MODUL University Vienna, as scientific officer at the European Commission Joint Research Centre and as Assistant Professor at the University of Reading.
