Anil Shrestha completed Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology from Wageningen University & Research, The Netherlands. He has more than 10 years of interdisciplinary experience in conservation science that he gained from Nepal, Norway, South Africa, China and Canada. He is currently working as a lecturer and research scientist at Faculty of Forestry, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He teaches courses on conservation science, forest restoration ecology and sustainable forest management in changing world. His research interest spans across conservation science and natural based solutions to climate change and biodiversity conservation. His current research focus on climate change adaptation of species and ecosystem, conservation of threatened species and ecosystem, carbon forest management, restoration of forest and developing new generation of protected areas.
