Angela Kronenburg García holds a PhD from Wageningen University (2015) and a degree in cultural anthropology from Leiden University. She has worked on various positions at Leiden University, the African Studies Centre Leiden and Utrecht University. Her research has focused on land use change, political ecology and access, land and forest tenure, natural resource conflict, land governance and political leadership, and her geographical expertise includes the drylands of Kenya and Mozambique. She is currently a postdoc researcher in the MIDLAND project from the Université catholique de Louvain. Her research seeks to understand the strategies, decisions and coalitions of actors in the emerging land use frontier of northern Mozambique. She is based in Maputo, Mozambique.
