I am a Mexican land use/cover change modeller committed to providing information and knowledge to decrease the negative impacts of land use/cover change. I hold a Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences from the University of Edinburgh. After my Ph.D., I have worked as a consultant at UNEP and as a postdoctoral researcher at IIASA and UNAM.
My interests are prioritizing areas for biodiversity conservation, analysing agricultural strategies integrating scenarios, and quantifying land use /cover change impacts on ecosystems based on land management. My hobbies are swimming, climbing, mountain biking, and bagpipe playing.
