She did her PhD in agricultural sciences, specialization environmental management and planning, at the Poznan University of Life Sciences. Graduated in 2012. The scientific aim of her research was the evaluation of impact of spatial development changes on environment state in selected communes (which are under strong urbanization pressure) in Greater Poland Voivodeship by using Geographic Information System.
Her scientific interests concern on land use changes, including the quality and quantity of water, and impact of this changes on the agricultural landscape (unplanned urban sprawl, fragmentation of natural areas, local droughts and flooding, water retention). She is also interested in researching ecosystem services provided by green infrastructure in cities. Especially she's focused on the possibility of using remote sensing, geographic information system (GIS) technology, map analysis and sustainable development indicators for modelling landscape and environment changes caused by the human activity. She is also very interested in investigating the relationship between agriculture and ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes as well as the impact of land cover changes on the quality of life of residents.
