Xiaobo Hua specializes in land use change and livelihood transition. He earned doctor’s degree in area studies at Kyoto University, Japan and master's and bachelor's degrees in land resources management at Southwest University, China. He is now a Postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University.
