About the Global Land Programme

The land system science community is organized within the Global Land Programme (GLP), a Global Research Project of the Future Earth initiative. Over the past two decades GLP has grown into a robust interdisciplinary community of science and practice fostering the study of land systems and the co-design of solutions for global sustainability; it represents the largest international research network in this field.

We currently have over 700 members and reach an additional two thousand people with our mailings. Our members come from almost every nation on Earth and include scientists and related professionals.
