How much is the registration fee?
We will announce the registration fee in mid-December at the same time as we announce the results of the review process. Currently, we estimate that the registration fee will be between 450-550 CHF.
Do you have scholarships available?
The OSM 2019 Scientific and Organizing Committees are busily working to raise funding for participation grants for the OSM. We expect to be able to announce these possibilities in mid-December on our website. Please be sure to check the site for more information in December, it will be under the ‘submit and attend’ tab
When will registration open?
Registration will open on December 12th, the same day the results of abstract review are sent to authors.
When will I be notified regarding acceptance of my submitted abstract?
We will send notifications of abstract acceptances on December 12th.
How many people are expected to attend the OSM?
We expect approximately 700 participants to the GLP OSM 2019 in Bern.
What is new for the 4th GLP OSM?
GLP Is pleased to offer an array of new formats (innovative and immersive sessions) as well as expanded training and workshop opportunities and field trips.
Will you offer a mobile app this year?
Yes, the scientific program will be available via Whova, our app for the OSM available for both iOS and Android devices.
When can I reserve my hotel room?

What is the closest airport?
Zürich Airport is the nearest and convenient, as you can reach Bern directly by train in just over an hour. Basel EuroAirport and Geneva Airport are also fairly close and offer fair flight prices.
What is the weather typically like in Bern in April?
The term “Aprilwetter” (April weather) is used colloquially in Switzerland to describe variable weather conditions. You could spend a week in bright sunshine or watch the last snowflakes of the winter fall. In other words: pack warm clothes as you might need them!
