About Jeff Daniel's Work

Dr. Jeff Daniel Steeven Nze Memiaghe is a USDA postdoctoral researcher collaborating with Texas A&M University. His research focuses on soil phosphorus (P) spectroscopy and its applications in agroecosystems in Texas and Canada. He holds a Ph.D. in Soil Fertility and Soil Chemistry from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. His doctoral research examined the impacts of cropping systems and soil tillage on the spatial variability of soil phosphorus and its agri-environmental implications in Eastern Canadian soils, with a focus on precision agriculture.
Dr. Nze Memiaghe is a Soil and Environmental Scientist with a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy (Soils and Environmental Sciences option) from Laval University. He also earned a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from École de Technologie Supérieure (University of Quebec, Montreal). Following his graduate studies, he worked as a soil and environmental scientist with several environmental consulting companies in Canada.
He has received numerous prestigious scholarships and awards, including:
Fellow of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (2024–2026)
Karl Ivarson Soil Science Award from the Canadian Society of Soil Science (2023)
Yvon Levesque Agronomy Award from the Quebec Institute of Agrologists (2023)
Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the International Society of Precision Agriculture (2022–2023)
Dr. Nze Memiaghe is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA), the International Society for Precision Agriculture (ISPA), and the Canadian Society for Soil Science (CSSS).
His research interests center on soil and environmental science projects that contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals in agriculture and environmental sustainability. Dr. Jeff Daniel Steeven Nze Memiaghe may be contacted at nzememiaghejeff@yahoo.fr
