The Special Issue on Blockchain for Land, Social Innovations in Agriculture, and Sustainable Livelihood Development will focus on the application, use, and potential impact of blockchain technology to support social innovation in agricultural activities that can lead to improving access to lands, fair and just distribution of benefits and improved livelihood outcomes for small-scale agricultural users. Insights from this analysis will inform on potential governance implications of such blockchain innovations and propose suggestions for taking power relations into account from the onset of their development and application thereafter.
