The research, training and adoption of IPM technology to address the emerging fruit fly pest problem play an important role in ensuring the survival of the fruit and vegetable industry, a source of livelihood for millions of farmers in Africa. The International Center of Insect Physiology and Ecology (www.icipe.org) is undertaking an online data collection to get a feel on the spread of the IPM technology, the impact of training and capacity building in Africa.
