In April 2021 the GLP Telecoupling Working Group held its fifth webinar to discuss international trade flows in relation to land resources and ecosystem functioning. The webinar included two presentations from working group members: Nicolas Roux (COUPLED & University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria) who talked about "From embodied area to embodied HANPP: quantifying the pressure on ecosystem functions embodied in international trade of ecosystem risk commodities" and Abdullah Shaikh (School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Deakin University, Australia) who talked about “National-level consumption-based and production-based utilisation of the land-system change planetary boundary”.
