Call for new GLP Nodal Offices

We are pleased to announce the first call in three years for new and renewing GLP Nodal Offices!

The GLP Science and Implementation Plan, updated in February 2024, highlights the substantive role of Nodal Offices in enriching the GLP community. As laid out in our Nodal Office Guidebook, the functions of a Nodal Office vary across contexts, but ideally spearhead initiatives that deepen our understanding of land use and management across thematic and regional spectrums.

Candidate activities include organizing impactful events and networking opportunities, creating synthesis works on regional or thematic insights, facilitating transdisciplinary research, engaging in local and regional policy fora, and engaging in innovative practices that propel the GLP's mission forward.

Beyond logistical functions, Nodal Offices are tasked with stimulating thought leadership and advancing scientific inquiry in their areas of focus. They ensure the continuous expansion of a dedicated community by maintaining a dynamic network of individuals passionate about land-related issues. In essence, Nodal Offices embody the GLP's commitment to fostering regionally-relevant, collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to solving land challenges.

Visit our Nodal Offices landing page to learn more about our Nodal Offices, read the Guidebook for Nodal Offices, and submit an application to launch a Nodal Office in your region. All current Nodal Offices will also be applying for renewal.

Deadline: 30 June 2024
