The Department of Geography, Planning and Environment (GPE) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Geography with expertise in geospatial data analysis and human geography at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 12, 2019. We seek an individual who applies geospatial data science to advance a vibrant, externally-funded research program. While a range of specialty areas will be considered, we particularly welcome expertise in fields related to human health and disease. Individuals who can advance the Department’s BS degree in Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST) as well as contribute to the human geography curriculum, including the newly developed BS track in Global Environment and Development are encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses in GIS, quantitative methods, human geography, and the candidate’s area of specialty. Advising of undergraduate and graduate students is also expected.
