Project description: The Biospherefutures project is an online database that offers a global collection of place-based social-ecological scenario case studies. The aim is to facilitate assessment, synthesis, and comparative analysis of scenarios and help build a community of practice to promote the use of scenarios for sustainable development planning of the Biosphere. The database provides access to a rich collection of case studies from around that can be used to explore the various ways in which the future might unfold. Together, the case studies give insight into the diversity of people's expectations for the future, and help understand interactions with the Sustainable Development Goals. Biospherefutures builds on contributions from scenario researchers and practitioners from around the world. The collaboration is led by the Stockholm Resilience Centre. Successful candidates for this research assistant position will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant, international and highly collaborative environment.
