How do we set the conditions for realizing a green transition of agri-food systems in Denmark and beyond? The Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University, Denmark, offers a postdoctoral position that should explore the foundations for sustainable development pathways for the Danish and European agri-food system. Starting 1st March 2023 as soon as possible thereafter. The position will be available for a 3-year period.
You will be part of a research group that work at the interface between science, technology and society with respect to the agri-food system. We work broadly with the challenges for a green transition, and particularly the social, political, technical and organizational foundations for the green transition needs to be further explored. You will contribute to analysis of social, organizational and political foundations for the green transition in comparative case studies, reviews and assessments in a multi-actor environment. Further, you will take part in assessing solutions for developing sustainable business models to advance alternative agri-food systems such as agro-forestry and the diverse drivers that enable or constrain adoption of such practices. You will primarily work with various qualitative techniques such as interviews, focus groups, as well as policy analysis and reviews of scientific literature.
We expect that you will be an important part of the research environment and that you will contribute positively to the social working environment. We also expect that you will take part in our teaching activities and that you will report research results in high-impact scientific journals.
