Annually Harvard University awards a limited number of Bullard Fellowships to individuals in biological, social, physical and political sciences and the arts to promote advanced study or the integration of subjects pertaining to forested ecosystems. The program seeks to allow mid-career individuals to develop their own scientific and professional growth by utilizing the resources and interacting with personnel in any department within Harvard University. In recent years Bullard Fellows have been associated with the Harvard Forest, Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology and the J. F. Kennedy School of Government and have worked in areas of ecology, forest management, policy and conservation.
