The GLP Working Group ‘Integration of Rural and Urban Land Systems’ is pleased to invite you to the second webinar of their new Young Speakers Series featuring:

  • Dr. Jasper Van Vliet, "Analysis and modelling of urban expansion and intensification"
  • Mohammed Elhafyani, "Impact of recent urban expansion on the regional water balance in Morocco"
  • Dr. Huong Hoang, "Impact of tourism development on the local livelihoods and land cover change in the Northern Vietnamese highlands"

The GLP Young Speakers Series is held monthly and is a platform particularly for young researchers to present their work and to connect to each other as well as to more senior researchers.

If you would like to present your research in the Young Speakers Series, please contact WG Coordinator Anton van Rompaey with a short bio of yourself (or link to your GLP member site) and a summary of what you would like to present.

The presentations will be recorded. The recording will be available on the Youtube channel of the Global Land Programme within two weeks after the event as well as on the GLP website.
